This body of work is dedicated to the Aqueduct Trail, which runs parallel to the Hudson River. Starting at the Croton Dam in Cortland, NY, the trailway runs 26.2 miles before ending in Van Cortland Park, Bronx.

After spending over a decade in Westchester, NY, the Trail has become a dear friend.  In my nearly daily walks on the Trail I've found joy, serenity, and wonder. It's a source of constant comfort and inspiration, in any weather all through the year.

 

The drawings cover a small portion of the lower third of the Trail. Green spaces like the Trail are vital to our wellbeing. In connecting us with nature they reduce stress, encourage exploration, and improve our moods. This series is small way to honor the power of our environment as it graces our daily life.
